The Midwest Clay Guild provides individual studio spaces and communal facilities for a diverse group of artists. Created in 1971, it is one of the oldest cooperatives in the United States. The guild consists of professional artists mainly working in clay. It currently includes functional potters, ceramic sculptors, painters and glass artists with work exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally.
